Sponsored Posts

Sponsored Posts are a terrific tool to use to promote your event's sponsors. These dynamic posts act as an advertising space in your Activity Stream and can include a call-to-action button leading to a website or other external items (documents, apps, etc.). Best of all, these posts collect valuable data about attendees who have interacted them in the form of an Ad Report which can be emailed to the sponsors directly - justifying the sponsor's spend and providing them with real, tangible ROI.

Please note that Sponsored Posts are currently available in the mobile app only and will not be reflected on the Activity Stream on the desktop.

How it Works
As mentioned previously, Sponsored Posts are a dynamic tool - this means they are not simply an ad pinned to the top of the Activity Stream for specific amount of time. As new messages and photos are posted by your attendees, the Sponsored Post's placement will move down in the stream. However, every Sponsored Post you create can be set to appear back at the top of the Activity Stream up to 5 times in fixed time intervals of every 10 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, or 2 hours. The interval and frequency settings can be chosen at the bottom portion of the sponsored post creation window:

Post Types
There are six types templates to choose from when creating a Sponsored Post, let's dive into each and what they offer:

Banner: This is the most commonly used type of Sponsored Post. The Banner offers a fully customizable post with an image and call-to-action button.

eCommerce: This template allows your sponsor to promote a special discount code or product purchase opportunity.

App Download: This template enables the promotion of a mobile app that contains direct download links to the App Store and Google Play listing.

Document Download: Do you sponsors have a file or maybe sales sheet that they want to share? Offer them the ability to put this in front of your attendees to get more exposure to it:

Gallery: If your sponsor wants to add a set of images promoting a product or service (or maybe their booth if they are present at your event) the Gallery template is a great choice.

Promoted Session: This post type allows you to highlight a notable session that you want your attendees to have more visibility on.

Sponsored Post Analytics
The reporting Attendify provides you with on the Sponsored Posts is one of the most valuable parts of this feature. These reports include:

Impressions - How many times the Sponsored Post appeared on an attendee's screen

Actions - How many clicks into the post or Sponsor Profile were generated from the Sponsored Post

Engagement  - The impressions divided by the actions, giving you a clear result on how the post performed.

To get to this data click on the post's listing in the Sponsored Posts tab. In the pop-up window, you will see tabs for Performance, Leads, and Edit Post.

  • Performance will give you the impressions, actions, and engagement data, and allows you to send the Ad Report via email to anyone who would like to see it.

  • Leads give an at-a-glance view of the attendees that clicked on the CTA button.

  • Edit Post will allow you to make changes to the post on the fly.
