How to add 3rd-party streams and videos to the event Schedule

With the event industry changing at a rapid pace, more and more events are adapting by providing virtual and hybrid experiences. Attendify makes it easier than ever to integrate a live stream or a pre-recorded video directly into the session on your event schedule using the Video Link field. The stream works both in Attendify's Virtual Experience and mobile event apps.

The platforms supported include YouTube (stream/video that's publicly available or unlisted), Vimeo (stream/video with enabled permissions for embedding), Wistia (video) and Zoom (webinar/meeting). Streams and videos autoplay when a session is loaded. Whether a user is viewing the session on the desktop or in the mobile app, the video frame can be detached so users can browse the event while continuing to watch.  

You can embed the stream to the event schedule in a few easy steps:

  • Click the + icon within your Schedule feature to create a new session or Edit the existing one.

  • Add a YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia or Zoom link into the Video Link field and save. YouTube's private links (invite-only) are not supported.

  • If you want to set a limit for when the stream/video should be available, select "Limit when attendees can watch the video" option and choose the start and end times.

Please note that video links can only be added manually at the moment. We'll add support for adding videos via template import in future releases. 

The video will have native player controls (depending on the streaming platform you chose) and render to be viewed within the session's details screen. Users can also hide the schedule to expand the video, go completely fullscreen, or detach the video and explore other content while watching.

The same native player controls & floating player feature applies to the mobile app.
